A Clarkston man was killed and more than $1 million in crops and property were destroyed when two violent thunderstorms - less than 18 hours apart - lashed Latah, Nez Perce and Asotin counties. Asotin County Commissioner Leonard Lahti said that he will attempt to get Gov. Dan Evans to declare Evans Road, scene of a flash flood, a disaster area.
