EVERETT, Wash. - A Snohomish County spokesman said an Atlas Air cargo plane that reported a hydraulic issue after departing from Paine Field en route to Japan has landed safely back at the Everett airport.

Spokesman Christopher Schwarzen said the two-person crew of the 747-400 "Dreamlifter" told the control tower at one point that the plane might have a steering problem upon landing.
