A presentation on children affected by the long-running conflict in northern Uganda will be shown at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Roxy Theater in downtown Lewiston.
The event is free and will include a screening of the documentary film "Invisible Children," which explores the plight of Ugandan children who are kidnapped and forced to serve in Joseph Kony's Lord's Resistance Army. Since the conflict began in 1986, more than 30,000 children have been abducted in the country.
The event will also feature guest speakers, including Kizito, a mentor for students in Uganda. For more information on the movement, visit www.invisiblechildren.com.
