ALBANY, Ore. - Rail service through western Oregon is back on track after severe storms toppled trees and caused mudslides, stranding an Amtrak passenger train.

The Albany Democrat-Herald reported that regular rail service resumed Friday on the affected portion of Union Pacific tracks.
