Fire Calls
The Lewiston Fire Department responded at about 11:45 a.m. Tuesday to Spalding Hall on the Lewis-Clark State College campus for six people who were stuck in an elevator. A fire official said the group was stuck for about 20 minutes while a ladder was dropped into the elevator through a hatch. The individuals climbed out without incident. College maintenance workers were unable to determine what caused the problem at the time of the incident.
Crime Reports
A rock the size of a golf ball was reportedly thrown through a sliding glass door at a residence on the 400 block of Adams Lane in Lewiston, causing $250 damage.
A rock was reportedly thrown through a window on the 400 block of Fifth Street in Lewiston, causing $150 damage.
