Kenneth L. Krouse, 26, 718 29th St., Lewiston, DUI, given a withheld judgment, sentenced to 30 days in jail with 28 days suspended, fined $750 with $250 suspended, 24 hours community service, driver's license suspended for four months and placed on probation up to one year.
Charles G. Rains Jr., 35, 415 Maple St., Clarkston, charged with three counts of manufacturing or possessing a controlled substance with children present, a felony, and three counts of delivery of a controlled substance, all felonies. Preliminary hearing set for April 3.
Fire Calls
Grease residue from a deep fat fryer at the Liberty Mart on the 800 block of 16th Avenue in Lewiston caused a fire around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. A Lewiston Fire Department official said the fire was contained to the fryer, and was out by the time firefighters arrived.
Traffic Accidents
A Lewiston woman was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence late Wednesday after her vehicle struck a power pole on the 1500 block of Main Street in Lewiston. The woman was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center for a wrist fracture.
Crime Reports
Miscellaneous tools valued at $950 were reported stolen from a residence on the 29100 block of Main Street in Lapwai.
Windows were reportedly broken at an abandoned residence on the 200 block of West Birch Avenue in Lapwai.
