Fire Calls

A vehicle collision sparked a grass fire Friday on U.S. Highway 12 near the junction with Highway 3. No one was hospitalized following the accident or fire, which Nez Perce County Fire Chief Ron Hall said burned two to three acres of grass before being extinguished. Nez Perce Tribal fire and Lapwai fire also responded to the blaze.

Crime Reports

Items including a Dell laptop, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and a portable Playstation with a total value of about $1,350 were reported stolen from an apartment on the 600 block of Main Street in Lewiston.

A collection of silver dollars, jewelry, a platinum deer statue, gold crowns, a pewter antelope and medication with a total value of $12,010 was reported stolen from a residence on the 1700 block of Power Drive in Clarkston.
