ROSALIA — A Rosalia home was destroyed by a fire Friday evening.
Whitman County Fire District 7 volunteers responded to the blaze on Baird Road near U.S. Highway 195 around 6 that night, according to a Facebook post by the department.
Fire Chief Laura Lautenslager said two residents had been living at the home. She added they made it out safely and there were no injuries.
Lautenslager said the two were connected with Red Cross to receive shelter and support.
Whitman County Fire District 10 volunteers in Oakesdale, along with District 11 volunteers from Steptoe and Diamond, and the city of Colfax firefighters assisted, according to the post.
