A Spokane man involved in a Normal Hill shooting earlier this year pleaded guilty to a reduced charge this week in Lewiston's 2nd District Court.

Judge Jeff M. Brudie sentenced 26-year-old Jesse L. Garrett to 25 days in the Nez Perce County Jail with credit for time served for unlawful entry, a misdemeanor. The charge was reduced from felony assault with intent to commit a serious felony, and a second felony charge of burglary was dismissed.

Garrett reportedly accompanied Michael J. Wilson, 25, when Wilson broke into an apartment on Glassway Avenue in Lewiston and assaulted Christopher Perini with a handgun.

Wilson was originally charged with attempted murder in the case, but a jury convicted him this fall of the lesser charge of aggravated assault. He faces the possibility of up to 30 years in prison.
