Lewiston firefighters and the occupants of this home on the 1500 block of Bryden Avenue were able to rescue three dogs and seven puppies from a Thursday morning fire. No one was injured in the fire. A faulty electrical cord hooked to a car’s block heater is the suspected cause of the fire, which spread from the carport to the ceiling of the home. The blaze caused an estimated $85,000 in damage.
