Sue Maili Kaula Paul, 65, an Orofino homemaker, died Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at her home in Orofino.

Sue was born Sept. 23, 1934, in Kamuela, Hawaii, to David and Susannah Kawle Kaula Sr. She attended school in Kamuela.

She married LeRoy Kaula and they later moved from California, where she worked in electronics, to Orofino in 1989. Her husband later died.

She belonged to the Clearwater Valley Eagles Auxiliary No. 3893, the Home Hoppers Homemakers Club and the Wild Bunch. She will be sorely missed.

Sue also enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, crocheting and bowling.

Survivors include one sister, Kane Wright of Molokai, Hawaii; and two brothers, Harold Kaula, who recently moved to Orofino from Hawaii, and Mathan Kaula of Hawaii.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino. The Rev. George King of Orofino will officiate.
