Sun Valley ski patrolman finds ski instructor's body
SUN VALLEY -- The body of a ski instructor missing since New Year's Day was found in the deep snow directly adjacent to an advanced ski run used by hundreds of skiers at the resort since he disappeared.
Authorities said Tom Wernig, 40, was found Sunday buried in the snow near the top edge of Sun Valley's Upper River Run.
It was not immediately known how deep the body was buried in the snow. The Blaine County Sheriff's office said it would not release recovery information until later.
