A veterans advocate from the Idaho Division of Veterans Service will be in the area to answer questions about current veteran benefits, provide assistance with ongoing claims and take new claims for benefits of eligible veterans and their dependents.

The dates and locations are as follows:

• Kamiah, Tuesday, Chamber of Commerce building, 518 Main St.
• Orofino, Wednesday, Department of Motor Vehicles, 2200 Michigan Ave.
• Craigmont, next Thursday, American Legion Post. No. 38, 201 A St.
• Grangeville, Aug. 20, Idaho Department of Labor, 305 N. State St.

Availability is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day with a one-hour lunch break at noon for the Kamiah, Grangeville and Orofino locations; and from 9 a.m. to noon in Craigmont. Appointments may be scheduled by calling the Lewiston office at (208) 799-5084. Those without appointments will be seen as time allows.
