The weather this weekend should be nice and warm, with temperatures rising to the mid-80s under mostly clear skies. Lows are expected in the mid-50s.
TODAY
Disability Action Center Northwest will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Kiwanis Park in Lewiston. The event will feature live music, keynote speakers, arts and crafts, as well as disability resource booths. Kids' activities and a free barbecue are also slated for the event.

MOSCOW - The 11th annual Moscow Art Walk kicks off today with a 3 p.m. barbecue at the Moscow Water Department office at 201 N. Main St. There will be 127 artists at 72 locations around town. At 5 p.m., live music, fly tying, glass blowing, sword fighting and other activities begin on Main Street. Most host locations will open at 5 p.m. for public art viewing. Brochures outlining location details will be available at each host location.
SATURDAY
GENESEE - The 55th annual Genesee Community Day begins at 6 a.m. Saturday with breakfast at the Fire Hall on Main Street. The starting gun for the 2- and 5-mile Cow Creek Run goes off at 8 a.m. near the corner of Walnut and Fir avenues. A quilt show and raffle is set from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Senior Center, with the Kiddie Parade beginning at 10:30 a.m., followed by the main parade at 11 a.m., on Main Street. There will be an egg toss, dunk tank, tractor races, turtle races and food vendors on Main Street and in the park following the parade. A trap shoot begins at 1 p.m. at the football field. Events wrap up at the park with a dinner from 3 to 6:30 p.m., live music beginning at 6 p.m. and fireworks at 10 p.m.

CULDESAC - Culdesac's 17th annual Shebang Days will have a "Trackin' Bigfoot" theme this year and begins at 8 a.m. Saturday with a 5K run and 1-mile Squatch-Watch Walk. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10 a.m. at the food court, and a silent auction for the library will take place from 8 a.m. to noon at the library. The Trackin' Bigfoot Parade begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a tricycle race at noon, live entertainment beginning at 1:30 p.m. and an auction at 3:30 p.m. Elk bugling, turkey calling and Sasquatch calling begins at 6:30 p.m., with more live music slated for 7:30 to 11:30 p.m.

KOOSKIA - The Kooskia Saddliers will hold a horse poker ride, with registration beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday at Carr Cattle Ranch on Harris Ridge. Each hand costs $5, and the ride is on maintained trails. It is expected to last three to four hours. Riders should bring snacks and beverages. Horseshoes are recommended, current vaccines are suggested, and dogs and alcohol are not allowed. Proceeds benefit the Saddliers' new arena. The ranch is east of Kooskia off of U.S. Highway 12, and signs will direct participants to the ranch.

Hells Gate State Park will offer a Junior Ranger Program titled "Meet Your Neighborhood Trees" from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday beginning at the Lewis-Clark Discovery Center at the park. Park Ranger Greg Hodapp will lead the interactive talk about ornamental and native trees, their value and uses. Participants will also make leaf rubbings to take home. The event is free, though there is a $5 parking fee for cars without an Idaho State Parks Passport. Hells Gate is south of Lewiston off of Snake River Avenue.

KAMIAK BUTTE - The Whitman County Parks Department begins its Evening Campfire Program with a nature walk at 6 p.m. Saturday at the park, located about four miles south of Palouse. The walk will feature flower identification led by Dan Leonard. Participants are asked to meet at the trailhead in the lower parking lot.

POMEROY - The annual Tumbleweed Festival comes to Pomeroy, including a Wine and Stein regional wine and brew tasting from 5 to 11 p.m. Saturday. At 10 a.m. Sunday, the Pioneer Day Parade will grace Main Street, and the event concludes with a 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. dance to live music at Spinners Hall.
SUNDAY
MOSCOW - Regional appraisers will be on hand for the Trinket or Treasure Antique Appraisal Fair from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the 1912 Center, 412 E. Third St., Moscow. The cost is $5 per item with a three-item limit. Desserts and lunch items will be available during the show.

The Lewiston Elks Lodge will celebrate Flag Day with a dinner at 5 p.m. Sunday at the lodge, 3444 Country Club Drive, Lewiston. The dinner is free to veterans and those 10 and younger, and $6 for all others. Dinner will be followed by brief speeches. A retirement of flags will commence near the outdoor flagpole around 6 p.m. Live music and dancing will round out the evening's activities. Those with flags they wish to retire may bring them to the event or leave them at the lodge office prior to the ceremony.

Hands Across the Bridge, an act of support for area law enforcement agencies, is set for 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday and will be organized on the Clarkston side of the Interstate (Blue) Bridge, at Community Bank, 118 Bridge St. Organizers will provide blank signs for participants to decorate for display.
