Warm weather is coming to the region again this weekend, but the sunshine might not cooperate, unless the luck of the Irish kicks in.

The proverbial rain on people's parades might prove a bit more true than desired. Not to worry; there are plenty of indoor activities planned for the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley this weekend.

Temperatures should be in upper 50s and low 60s today and Saturday and in the mid-50s Sunday. Rain showers are possible for Saturday and Sunday.

St. Patrick's Day weekend will have a very international feel, with Irish-themed dinners, a yoga-themed dance production, a chili feed and a Scandinavian-themed breakfast.

The KAT-FM Home and Garden Show takes place starting today and running through Sunday at the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds, 1229 Burrell Ave., in Lewiston.

The show runs 2 to 7 p.m. today, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Cost is $3 per person or $1 with a discount coupon or free with a discount coupon and a can of food for the Salvation Army food bank.

PULLMAN - Belly Buddha Boogie Productions will present the dance production "Gone Wild" at 7 tonight and 2 p.m. Saturday at the Gladish Community Center, 115 N.W. State St., Pullman.

The Inland Northwest Regional Spelling Bee is being held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Lewis-Clark State College Williams Conference Center on the LCSC campus.

COLTON - A fundraiser dinner benefit for Guardian Angel-St. Boniface School will be held from 5 p.m. to midnight at the Colton Booster and Gun Club.

The steak and wine dinner and benefit auction will help raise funds for the private Catholic school in Colton. There will also be a casino area with blackjack and dice games.

The Sons of Norway will have the group's annual Scandinavian Breakfast at the Pautler Senior Center in Clarkston.

The breakfast is from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the center, 549 Fifth St. Cost is $7 for adults and $2 for ages 6 and younger.

Scandinavian foods will include Swedish tea ring, Danish Puff, lefse, krumkaka, rosettes and risengrynagrot (rice pudding) with raspberry sauce, sausage casserole and pannkakors (pancakes).

KENDRICK - A sausage feed and silent and live auction will be held to raise money for the Juliaetta-Kendrick Ambulance fund.

The event is from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Kendrick High School. Cost is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors, $6 for students, $30 for a family, and free for children 5 and younger.

The benefit is from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Orchards Community Church, 822 Bryden Ave. Cost is $10 per adult and $5 for children 12 and younger.

The meal will consist of a bowl of chili, corn bread, a beverage and cookies.

PALOUSE - The 10th annual St. Paddy's celebration in Palouse will feature music by Potatohead, and there will be traditional Irish dancers.

The event begins with an Irish dinner from 5 to 6 p.m., followed by music Sunday at the Palouse Community Center, 220 E. Main St. Cost is $16 for adults and $7 for ages 6 to 12. Children younger than 6 are free.

The meal will include corned beef, Irish soda bread, colcannon and dessert. There will be a no-host bar available as well. Space is limited.

POTLATCH - The Potlatch Knights of Columbus annual pancake and sausage breakfast is being held here.

The breakfast is from 7 to 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Potlatch Elementary School, 130 Sixth St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 6 to 12, and free for children 5 and younger. The cost is $18 for an immediate family.

POTLATCH - A chance to learn triangular shawl weaving by Cheryl Anderson is being offered at the Potlatch Public Library, 1010 Onaway Road, Potlatch.

The class is at 1 p.m. Sunday, followed by a covered-dish luncheon.

WHITE BIRD - The sixth annual Joe Wilson St. Paddy's Day Sausage Feed is being held in downtown White Bird.

The sausage feed is from 7:30 a.m. to noon Sunday at the IOOF Hall. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for toddlers.

A portion of the proceeds will be given to local emergency medical technicians. Old Time Fiddlers will perform at the event.
