Grace Carver, 87, died of natural causes Nov. 27, 2013, at Royal Plaza Care Center in Lewiston.
Grace was born July 13, 1926, to William and Cora Lanier, in Compton, Calif. Grace was a long-term resident of Ventura, Calif., and only recently moved to the Lewiston-Clarkston Valley. She managed a hotel in Ventura for many years before her relocation to Clarkston.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Adam Schlaht and William Carver; sisters Helen Heil and Fern Collins; and granddaughter Michelle Hiramoto. She is survived by daughter Madonna (Curt) Johnson of Clarkston; grandson Derrick (Liska) Johnson and great-grandchildren Porter and Emma Johnson, all of Minneapolis; nephews Steve Heil and family of Simi, Calif., Phil Heil and family of Dixon, Calif., and Ron Heil and family of Santa Maria, Calif.; and cousin DeWayne Boccali and family of Ojai, Calif.
The family has requested no services, and cremation has taken place.
