June Long

Donna (June) Long went to be with the Lord on Aug. 6, 2013, in Grangeville. June was born to Dorothy and Leland Lyons on June 22, 1943, in Billings, Mont. She was the fourth of six children - three sisters, Judy, Mary and Nancy; and two brothers, Bob and Richard.

On April 8, 1967, she married Douglas Long in Grangeville at the Christian Church. She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Leland and Shannon Long, Kevin Long and Richard Mundy, Anita and Bill Schmidt, and Tony and Jessica Long; and seven grandchildren, Hunter, Kyler, Mya, Troy, Autumn, Charlie and Henry.

June's passions in life were her grandchildren, sewing and the church. She worked as a nurse for many years and after she retired continued to teach nursing classes. She was compassionate, caring and patient. She touched many lives and will be dearly missed.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Grangeville Church of the Nazarene. A viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Blackmer Funeral Home.
