Larry Wade Wickizer, 59, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024, and left behind a family who adored him. Larry was born April 25, 1964, in Cambridge, Neb., to Lloyd and Marjorie Wickizer. The family moved to Lewiston when he was two months old where he grew up and attended Lewiston schools.
He married Teresa Lear Aug. 15, 1992, and had twin boys, Willy and Wade. He also had two daughters, Nikki Knight (Lyons), of Deer Park, Wash., and Ashley McBride, of Clayton, Wash. He had seven granddaughters; Rikki was the light of his life. He was her special Papa, and she was his Rikki Roo. He also thought a lot of and loved Becca, Rikki’s mom, Kaylynn and Chole Lyons (Nikki) of Deer Park, Wash., Arianna and Meriah Edwards and Oakley and River McBride (Ashley) of Clayton, Wash.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa, sons Willy and Wade, daughters Nikki and Ashley, brothers Jerry (Collen) Wickizer and Terry Wickizer, sisters Cheryl (Dave) Poe and Peggy (Jay) Brown and mother Marjorie.
He also had a special bond with sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dan and Vickie Preston and Bob and Kathy McKnight. He also had many nieces and nephews.
Larry had many jobs: Lewiston Tribune, Mother Nature Lawn Service and Service Masters. His last job for the Lewiston School District as a custodian was his joy. He loved the crew he worked with and the teachers he helped.
He was an artist who loves to paint and make things for anyone he could. It also was a special time first for daughter Nikki, then granddaughter Rikki to share together.
He was preceded in death by his father Lloyd, sister Lynda, father-in-law Bill and mother-in-law Anita.
He will be greatly missed. A celebration of life will be held from 2-4 p.m., Saturday, May 11, at the Lewiston Community Center.
There will be a funeral service later in the summer for family and family friends.
