Ora Mae Schultz died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, at Good Samaritan Moscow Village. She was 88.
She was born July 17, 1925, in Moscow to Gilbert (Bert) and Lela (Buckbee) Russell. Ora Mae lived all of her life in Moscow and went to Country School and then Moscow High School.
She married David Headrick on Dec. 5, 1944; they later divorced. She married James T. Schultz on Jan. 1, 1963. She went to work at the University of Idaho in 1964 and worked at Wallace Complex for 23 years until she retired.
She enjoyed fishing, riding her motorcycle, golfing, cross-country skiing and, most of all, her crafts. She did oil and watercolor paintings and every year she would hand-make ornaments for all of her family to put on their Christmas trees. She especially liked spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; sons Dave and Gilbert James Headrick; her stepdaughter, Brenda Doty; and her brother, Dellas Russell.
Ora Mae is survived by her daughter, Becky Shepherd (Clyde); seven granddaughters, Leslie McGraw (Dave), Bonnie Candler (Ron), Laurie Brent (Tim), Teresa Gill (Bobby), Tina Headrick, Shirley Headrick and Shelly Hordemann; 14 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; stepchildren Linda Selph, Deanna Zaglow and Sharon Demarte; her sister, Barbara Means; and brother Sheldon Russell.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
