Victor James Blackeagle Jr. passed away Monday, Nov. 25, 2013, in Orofino.
Proud and accomplished, he was "The Fisherman," Brave Warrior, a veteran during the "Vietnam Conflict." He was quiet and let others live as they believed. He believed in God and read the Bible. Times in life were difficult to bear. He held thoughts and shared with few others his life story. He was liked by many and will be remembered for the simple way he lived.
He is survived by a sister, Trae, who will deeply miss time shared together, especially at the ending of his adventures here in this beautiful area on the Nez Perce land. He is also survived by his daughter, Sarah, and many relatives and friends.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service with a meal with time to share our adventures will be at 10 a.m. today at the Catholic hall in Lapwai.
