Led by Michael Baldeck's medalist showing, the Clarkston boys' golf team claimed the title at the Lewiston Invitational on Monday at the Lewiston Country Club.
The Bantams' score of 308 was one stroke better than Coeur d'Alene. Baldeck fired a 70 while teammates Joe Baldeck (74) and Cody Culletto (78) were also under 80.
The host Bengals settled for third place, led by Lance Ruddell's 79.
"I take my hat off to Clarkston," Lewiston coach Shawn Nilsson said. He added he'd hoped for a better showing from his squad, but that "Clarkston is playing well. They're tough to beat."

Hasenoehrl leads Bengals
Lewiston Amy Hasenoehrl played the back nine in one under and claimed medalist honors during the Lewiston Invitational girls' golf tournament at Bryden Canyon Golf Course.
Hasenoehrl's 75 helped the Bengals easily beat Coeur d'Alene for the best team score.
Lewiston also got an 87 from Sammi Jo Spring and a personal-best 98 from Xiola Kegel-Grende.
Pullman finished third with Olivia Kromm posting a team-best 90.

Colton 15, Asotin 2
ASOTIN - Four-time defending state champion Colton opened its second with a nonleague blowout of Asotin that saw the Wildcats score 11 runs in the fourth and fifth innings.
Colton led 4-2 before building its lead with a five-run fourth and a six-run fifth.
The Wildcats got three hits and two RBI apiece from Winnie Schultheis and Kaitlin Druffel. Zoe Moser and Schultheis shared the pitching duties and limited Asotin to three hits.
"We're young. I didn't realize how young ... until I looked out there and saw a bunch of freshmen," Colton coach Brad Nilson said.

L-C's Steiger picks up award
Lewis-Clark State baseball player Brady Steiger was chosen as the NAIA West Player of the Week, league officials announced on Monday.
Steiger, a junior from Port Orchard, Wash., helped lead the Warriors to a four-game sweep over league foe Oregon Tech on Friday and Saturday. The left-handed infielder was 12-of-16 at the plate with five doubles, two home runs, nine runs scored and seven runs batted in. Steiger also had two stolen bases.
The series lifted his team-leading batting average to .482. He also leads the team in RBI (28) and runs scored (29).
COLLEGE FOOTBALL
Cinkovich earns an extra title
MOSCOW - Kris Cinkovich, who already held the titles of offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach with the Idaho football team, is now also the Vandals' assistant head coach.
New UI coach Paul Petrino made the announcement Monday.
"It is a great thing because he has been around the exact same systems as I have," Petrino said in a written release. "He knows everything I believe in."
Petrino and Cinkovich both played and coached at Montana's Carroll College for Petrino's father. Cinkovich was the Saints' offensive coordinator from 1987-89 when Petrino was the school's record-setting quarterback and the 1988 NAIA Player of the Year.
While they stayed in touch over the intervening years, they were reunited as coaching colleagues when Petrino rejoined the Arkansas staff in 2012 as the offensive coordinator with Cinkovich as the Razorbacks' receivers coach.
The Vandals will open their spring practice with a workout at 4 p.m. Friday.

Cougs announce spring dates
PULLMAN - The Washington State football team will begin its spring practice Thursday with the first of 15 practices that will conclude April 23.
The opening workout will start at 3 p.m. Thursday at Martin Stadium and Rogers Field.
The Crimson and Gray Game - an intrasquad scrimmage - will be held at Spokane's Joe Albi Stadium on April 20.

COLLEGE BASKETBALL
Three Warriors honored
P.J. Bolte of the Lewis-Clark State men's basketball team and Warrior women's players Annie Kane and Loree Hill were named honored for their academic accomplishments by the NAIA on Monday.
The three Warriors were named to Daktronics-NAIA Division I Basketball Scholar-Athletes.
Bolte and Kane are seniors, and Hill is a junior. This is Kane's second consecutive award.
In order to earn the honor, an athlete must be a junior and maintain a grade-point average of at least 3.5.
GYMNASTICS
Lewiston's Onge wins vault
KENNEWICK - Jesse St. Onge of the 360 Gymnastics club took first in the level 4 vault at the Washington state men's gymnastics meet Sunday.
St. Onge, 9, scored a 9.7 (out of 10) in the vault to outpoint a field of 40.
Other 360 Gymnastics representatives at the meet were Brandon St. Marie (ninth in level 5 vault), Henry Pals (seventh on vault and seventh on parallel bars in level 5), Kyle Fiske (eight on floor, 10th on high bar and 10th on vault in level 6).
All of those boys are from Lewiston.
