Walker Hoop School - Tim Walker is taking registrations for his December Hoop School to be run between Dec. 5-15. Dates to be determined. Hoop School is a basketball fundamentals clinic that concentrates on shooting, ball handling, passing, footwork, guard and post play. Space is limited. QUAD CITIES FUSION FC TRYOUTS - The Valley Youth Soccer Association, Moscow United and Pullman soccer clubs are joining forces to create girls' high-school age teams that will play at a high level. Organizers say their goal is "to form multiple teams at the girls' high-school age group, targeting players that are committed, want to play at a higher level and/or have aspirations to play in college." Tryouts for the Quad Cities Fusion FC program will take place at Smith Complex at 3401 13th Street in Lewiston. On Dec. 7, field registration and check-in will be at 9:30 a.m., followed by morning tryouts from 10 a.m. to noon and afternoon tryouts from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. On Dec. 8, field registration and check-in will be at 1 p.m., followed by an afternoon session from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Players can pre-register at moscowunited.org under the "Fusion Girls Team Tryouts" link.

Lewis-Clark babe ruth meeting - The Lewis-Clark Babe Ruth's monthly board meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. at the Lewiston Community Center. For more information, contact Angie Stamper (208) 790-2849.

DECEMBER 11

Lewis-Clark state bus - The Lewis-Clark State athletic department will provide a rooter bus for the women's basketball game between the Warriors and the Idaho Vandals on Dec. 11. The bus will cost $25 per person and leave the LCSC parking lot closest to the Activity Center at 4:45 p.m. and return after the game. The cost includes one ticket and dinner from Southway Pizzeria. Fans are asked to bring their own drinks.

RICHLAND AAU TOURNAMENT - The Hanford Holiday Hoopfest for boys and girls in sixth through eighth grades has been scheduled for Dec. 21-22 at Richland, Wash. The fee is $200 and the person to contact is Mike DePeel at (509) 967-3541.

lcsc GROUP tennis LESSONS - Lessons are being offered at the Lewis-Clark State courts until December. Mondays are 5-6 p.m. for beginning juniors, Tuesdays are 5-6 p.m. for adults, Wednesdays are 5-6 p.m. for advanced/varsity, Thursdays are 5-6 p.m. for junior varsity/intermediates. Warrior Basketball Christmas Camp - The Lewis-Clark State College basketball programs are hosting a youth camp for boys and girls, grades 1-8 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at the LCSC Activity Center. The cost is $25 and day of camp registration is accepted. The camp will include fundamental skills development and games and is directed by Warrior head coaches Brian Orr and Brandon Rinta. For kids ages 8-12, camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., while kids ages 13 and older will go from 1-5 p.m. The two-day event is $100 per camper.
