There's only one perfect team after the first week of the 62nd Camas Prairie Trap Shoot, and it's not the defending champion.

Grangeville fired a flawless 75 on Sunday as the annual 10-week competition began at various gun clubs in the region.

Garfield, which last March claimed its second title in three years, sputtered in Week 1 this time with a 73.20 score for ninth place among 19 teams, including newcomers Spokane and Malden-Pine.

Culdesac, which won back-to-back titles in 2010-11, assumed second place with a 74.25 effort.
