Players: Junior forward Robert Franks saw a career performance in his last start for the Cougars, tallying 32 points against UC Davis to raise his season average to 20.4 per contest —  the highest mark on the team. The Vandals boast perhaps the most talented backcourt in the Big Sky, led by a combined 32.6 points per game between Perrion Callandret and Victor Sanders.

Game themes: Washington State looks to reestablish its dominance in the longest-running rivalry west of the Mississippi River, as the program holds a 163-109 advantage in the series. Idaho takes the hardwood hoping to prove last year’s 61-48 road loss to the Cougars was simply the result of cold shooting.

Players: Junior forward Jill Barta enters the matchup as the reigning WCC Player of the Week, having posted 30 points in Saturday’s win against Portland State. Alexys Swedlund and Chanelle Molina led the Cougars against Saint Louis on Monday with a combined 24 points, helping to shoulder the offensive workload behind leading scorer Borislava Hristova.

Game themes: Gonzaga is seeking its second straight victory in the rivalry series after a dominant 79-61 win last season at McCarthy Athletic Center. The matchup marks Washington State’s final home game for nearly a month, as the squad won’t return to Beasley Coliseum until a Jan. 5 meeting against Colorado.
