SPOKANE - Freshman thrower Johanna Hocketstaller won three events as the University of Idaho women claimed a team title at the four-team Whitworth Buc Scoring Invitational college track meet.

Emily Paradis of Moscow, who redshirted during the indoor season, won the women's steeplechase for the Vandals, and Jason Lorentz of Grangeville took the men's long jump for the UI men.

WSU's Bartlett wins twice

LOS ANGELES - Joe Bartlett won the men's shot put and the discus Saturday at the USC Trojan Invitational, leading a Washington State showing that was heavy in field-event placings.

Cougars freshman Christine Kirkwood placed second in the women's javelin, beating sister Courtney Kirkwood Simmons, who took fourth for WSU.
