The first day of the NAIA World Series usually runs late — often resulting in the last game of the day starting one or two (or even three) hours later than the scheduled time.

But Friday’s opening day stuck about as close to schedule as tournament officials and fans could hope for. The last game between Lewis-Clark State and Indiana Wesleyan got underway at 7:31 p.m. — just a half-hour later than planned.
