> Clarkston native JOEL DAHMEN carded a 3-under 68 during the first round of the Digital Ally Open Thursday at Overland Park, Kan. Dahmen is tied for 38th place and is five strokes behind the leaders in the Web.com Tour event.

> Moscow native CHRIS WILLIAMS shot a 1-under 71 during Thursday's opening round in the ATB Financial Classic at Calgary, Alberta. Williams is tied for 76th place and is six shots off the pace in the Canadian tour event.

> The WASHINGTON STATE FOOTBALL TEAM appeared in the "others receiving votes" section in the Amway Top 25 coaches' poll, which was released Thursday (and appears in Scoreboard on this page). The Cougars were ranked 30th.

> The LEWIS-CLARK STATE WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM was ranked eighth in the NAIA Academic Top 25, which was announced by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. The Warriors set a team record with a grade-point average of 3.562. It's the ninth time in the last 10 years L-C has appeared in these rankings.
