DEER PARK, Wash. - Kayla Loop claimed two titles and set a personal record in the girls' shot put Saturday to spearhead Asotin High's efforts in the six-team Deer Park Invitational track meet.
Loop, a two-event state champion last spring, threw 38 feet, 31/2 inches to snap her shot-put PR by 9 inches.
The senior also won the discus at 118-0, teaming with Piper Loop and McKayla Swearingen for a 1-2-3 sweep by the Panthers.
Asotin freshman Lucy Eggleston won the girls' 3,200, while the Panther boys got titles from Jesse Styner in the 400 and Jacob Whittaker in the javelin.

Guo wins twice for PHS
YAKIMA - Anna Guo won two jumping events for the Pullman girls while thrower Adam Mahama and jumper Ben Pavish each notched a victory for the Greyhound boys at the Ram Relays at West Valley-Yakima.
Pullman also notched titles in two team events: the girls' high jump and the boys' discus.

Despite losing all three boys' singles matches, Lewiston handily topped Moscow in a dual tennis meet at the Bengals' courts.
Elsa Hansen won the No. 1 girls' singles match, and freshman Josie Jagelski kept her hot streak going with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 3.
Chad Roberts and Jacob Kucera, also on a roll for the Bengals, won at No. 2 boys' doubles.
Hunter Levy of Moscow prevailed at No. 1 boys' singles.

CHS girls notch two wins
SPOKANE - The Clarkston girls' tennis team breezed to two dual wins in its first such action this season, beating Spokane's West Valley and East Valley.
The Bantams won 13 of the 14 matches.
Clarkston veterans KC McConnell and Ashley Meyers had little trouble picking up two wins. The Bantams also got a pair of victories from Kianna Arthur, who was in the lineup with Kristen Kirking out with an illness.
While these were matches between Great Northern League teams, they won't count in the league standings.

The Clarkston boys claimed their first win of the season as it took down the West Valley Eagles in a nonleague matchup.
Clarkston coach Sam Adams said his doubles teams played well despite the fact that most of them had never played a varsity match before.
The Clarkston boys are now 1-0 while West Valley drops to 2-1.
