RIGGINS -- The Salmon River boys' basketball team emphatically claimed its first win of the season, ripping Meadows Valley of New Meadows 65-39 in a Long Pin Conference game Wednesday night.

"We finally put four quarters together," Savages coach Charlie Shephard said. "... It was a fun game to watch."

Salmon River got 13 points, 15 rebounds and three assists from Adam Ader. Jake Mann added 13 points, 13 rebounds and two blocks while Ty Medley came up with 12 points, five assists and three steals.

The Savages are now 1-15 and 1-9.
