Another March coup
You can say what you will about the middling regular-season results KEN BONE has posted in two years on the Palouse. It's in March tournaments that his clubs have really shined.
Bone's WASHINGTON STATE MEN are in the championship round of the College Basketball Invitational, and will open the best-of-three series against PITTSBURGH at 7 tonight at Beasley Coliseum. Games 2 and, if necessary, 3 will be at Pittsburgh on Wednesday and Friday.
Bone led the Cougars to the Final Four of the NIT last season, and guided them to three CBI wins over the last two weeks to get them to this stage.
The SEATTLE MARINERS will play the first two MLB regular-season games this week against OAKLAND - but you'll have to stay up late, or get up really early, to see them. The games will be played at Tokyo on Wednesday at 3 a.m. PDT and Thursday at 2 a.m. PDT. Both will be shown live on ROOT.
After a rare weekend off, the LEWIS-CLARK STATE BASEBALL TEAM returns to action with a series at BRITISH COLUMBIA that starts Friday. WASHINGTON STATE will play its first home Pac-12 series, welcoming USC for a set that starts Friday.
