The Lewis-Clark State women's basketball team registered its second-most lopsided victory in school history Saturday afternoon -- less than 24 hours after its biggest blowout ever.

The Warriors won their eighth consecutive game, pounding Prairie Bible College of Three Hills, Alberta, 99-20. The 79-point margin is No. 2 for an L-C team, behind Friday's 116-24 shellacking of the vastly outgunned Canadians.

The Pilots managed to stay close during the first five minutes, pulling to within 11-10 on a basket by Kasey Klassen. But then the Warriors tore off a run.

A 45-0 run.

L-C went mostly with man-to-man defense after favoring its zone schemes Friday. The Warriors held PBC to 23.7-percent shooting.

"Our defense really dominated," L-C coach Brian Orr said. "They had a hard time running any of their stuff."

Senior guard Jessica Foot led six Warriors in double figures with 23 points. She went 6-for-9 from 3-point range, dished off eight assists and nabbed seven steals (a career high).

Cami Kalbfleisch added 21 points while Terri Wittmer (14 points), Ashley Baker (13), Kendra West (12) and Elise de Groot (10) also joined the party.

Getting them the ball was freshman point guard BreAnna Mulvey, who racked up a career-best 14 assists -- one off the L-C record set by Debbie Sobotta (nee Johnson) in 1989.

"Mulvey was just so good at making the right choice," Orr said. "She found the right people in the right spots at the right time."

After sitting out Friday's game with strep throat, post LaNeice Morgan played 16 minutes, scoring two points and grabbing three rebounds.

The Warriors, 12-4 and ranked 22nd in the nation, will open Frontier Conference play next week at home. They'll play Montana Tech on Thursday and Montana-Western on Saturday, both starting at 6.

"Obviously, Prairie Bible isn't the greatest team we'll play," Orr said. "But we showed the kind of intensity on defense and execution on offense that we'll need during games in the Frontier Conference."
